In Honor of Aiden Joseph Kunder
Aiden Joseph Kunder was born on March 22, 2025, and passed shortly after his birth. The 40 weeks he was with us were the best weeks of our lives. He knew nothing of this world but the love and touch of his Mommy and Daddy. Now, Aiden will be our most precious angel and will be waiting for us in Heaven with his Mom-mom and Poppy Joe.
Aiden will be memorialized with the planting of a cherry blossom tree - a symbol of renewal and the impermanence of life. This tree will provide beauty, shelter, and life in remembrance of Aiden. It will also stand as a symbol of the beautiful child that we brought into this world, only to be lost shortly thereafter, thus representing that impermanence of life. This tree will be a daily reminder to us of his purity, his presence, and his memory.
In addition to the tree, we also seek to honor Aiden’s memory through a fundraiser for the Adalyn Rose Foundation - a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive and continuous support to families who experience pregnancy, infant, and childhood loss. They have been an absolute blessing to us throughout this process, helping with grief resources, memorials, and keepsakes to keep our Son alive and ever present in our lives and memories. The support they have given us during what should have been one of the happiest times of our lives has allowed us to begin to grieve, to grow closer, and to heal. They have also empowered us to talk about our Son, which has led to us having many conversations with others that have quietly suffered their own losses, and may be allowing us to allow others to grieve with us for their own babies. What they do at ARF is an amazing blessing to all those that experience loss, and we are incredibly blessed to have them in our corner during this time. We look forward to being involved with them for many years to come, paying forward the love and support they have shown to us to others who will go down the path of loss.
